positioning | naming | messaging | brand voice
Stormwater management isn't something most Bay Area residents think about (especially during a mega-drought), yet it's an increasingly critical issue as storms here become more severe. Many of the practices involved, such as replacing pavement with permeable surfaces or creating rain gardens, are also excellent ways to ensure that rainwater, when it does arrive, is put to its best use.
We worked with San Francisco Water Power Sewer (SFPUC) build a new brand for their existing stormwater management work. The goal was to prompt people to take tangible actions while maintaining a positive and uplifting tone.
We delivered a cohesive brand strategy and messaging guide for a variety of audiences, as well as led the organization through a comprehensive naming process that included getting buy-in from a wide variety of stakeholders, from technical to executive leadership.
This project was done in collaboration with Noise 13.
