The Center for a New American Security (CNAS), a DC-based, non-partisan think tank, won a grant to convene high-level cybersecurity experts for a series of workshops with the goal of furthering cross-disciplinary collaboration.
CNAS sought a name and identity for the series that broke from the typical policy working group vernacular. The name needed to signal a new approach to cybersecurity collaboration in order to attract experts from a wide variety of disciplines, from technology and business to law and the military. We conducted primary and secondary research to develop insights, as well as led internal brainstorm sessions to develop name options for CNAS.
CNAS ultimately selected The NextWare Sessions because of its decidedly un-policy-like tone, as well as its focus on collaboration that impacts the future of the field. The visual identity, designed by studio1500, picked up this thread with disparate lines converging into one, evoking unity and resolution in a complex field.
This project was a collaboration with studio1500.
