Meta's Facilities, Culinary and Security (FCS) Team plays a vital, if often unseen, role in enabling employees to thrive. While the corporate five core values are well known and loved across the company, the FCS team sometimes found it challenging to apply them to their day-to-day activities and worried that their internal culture suffered as a result. They needed help developing a set of values that would directly speak to their hundreds of employees, inspiring their daily work and guiding their behaviors.
Through interviews, workshops, on-site research, and surveys, we developed a set of inspirational values and corresponding behaviors for the FCS team that aligned with the corporate core values, but were specific to the important work of the FCS team. The values were adopted and presented team-wide during an all-hands meeting.
